How far along? 22 weeks

 

Total weight gain: every bit of 10 lbs....TEN POUNDS....holy crap

Maternity clothes? YES...practically all the time unless i want to look ridiculous

Stretch marks? not yet, but I'm stretching

Sleep: slept dang good this week, manual labor is the key to a good nights sleep

 

Best moment this week:  sleeping with the windows open (that is not really pregnancy related, BUT it means fall is near)

 

Wedding rings on or off? On! 

Happy or Moody most of the time: happy

 

Miss Anything? BEER and margaritas

Movement: lots of movement this week 

 

Food cravings:  nothing too much this week. 

 

Anything making you queasy or sick: nope

 

Gender: little precious GIRL

Labor Signs: Nope. 

Symptoms: just this growing belly, and exhaustion...starting to get indigestion.

 

Belly Button in or out? not so deep in..

Looking forward to: finishing the basement...and the nursery

Other: the light fixture is up in the nursery...it is awesome.  i need to post pictures.  still no furniture.  i'm starting to pick dates for 2 different showers...this thing is really happening!!

21 weeks

How far along? 21 weeks, 1 day...

 

Total weight gain: 8 pounds...maybe 9.  It was 9 yesterday, 8 this morning.  8 sounds better.  It is really packing on now...

Maternity clothes? YES...probably 3 out of 5 work days...and all lounge pants at home

Stretch marks? not yet, but I'm stretching

Sleep: sleeping pretty good, been having some crazy dreams this week.

 

Best moment this week:  feeling LOTS of kicks.  i finally felt one on the outside of my belly, chuck wasn't patient enough to feel it.  she clams down when he comes around.

Other: ordered the light fixture for the nursery! i will wait until my next nursery update to share...that way i'll have pictures.  hoping to buy furniture this weekend!

the makings of the nursery PART 1

as promised, I want to keep everyone up to date on the nursery situation thus far.  in order to make this seem organized and structured (in order to avoid me stressin'...which i do now....alot) I will break it down into the major pieces and update you on each one.  I will do Parts 2, 3, etc of this post until we finish.

1. Walls
2. Furniture
3. Bedding/Textiles
4. Decor
5. Functional Items (changing pads, organizers, nightlights, etc)
6. Closet Organization

So those are the major items...some are more involved than others.  Part 1 of this post is less exciting than you may think, as it only involves 1 or 2 of these items. BUT, we have put quite a bit of effort into it up to this point...so you better act excited.  Here is the update:

1. Walls: we have completely finished this portion.  First we added batten and board wainscoting (which I can provide more details and pictures of if anyone is interested), then we painted the ceiling (which you can't even tell from the picture), then crown molding, then wall paint.  The paint color is called "tame teal" but I like to call it Aqua. See the before and after pictures below.
2. Furniture: We have started looking at furniture and know what we like, but we haven't purchased anything yet.
3. Bedding: I have ordered the bedding, but I think I am going to withhold until it comes in to show exactly what I bought...as a sneak peek, see the last picture, which shows one of the fabrics against the wall color
4. Decor: Nothing
5. Functional Items: nothing....although I am looking at light fixtures now (i forced chuck to take the ceiling fan down).  I may ask for light fixture advise soon. 
6. Closet Organization: nothing

            

HALFWAY there...

How far along? 20 weeks, 3 days...so the title should say MORE than halfway there! 

Total weight gain: I have no idea...i spent all last week away from home (and the gym) so I haven't weighed...lets go with 7 lbs (since I seem to gain at least one a week)

Maternity clothes? YES...probably 3 out of 5 work days...and all lounge pants at home

Stretch marks? not yet, but I'm stretching

Sleep: body pillow is GOOD! sleeping much better

 

Best moment this week:  realizing that we are really half way to meeting this sweet angel.  the first half went quickly, and I'm sure the second half will fly.  i also got to catch up with tons of people this week as I was in muscle shoals (jason -old work buddy-, the whole brown family, kellie, mary, triplett -another work buddy-, and the chafins...include baby anna claire)

Wedding rings on or off? On! 

Happy or Moody most of the time: happier this week than I have been, getting away from the basement did me good

 

Miss Anything? turkey sandwiches

Movement: I felt a few really distinct KICKS this week, not just the fluttering movement that I have been feeling.  Chuck is ready to feel her kick, and I think we are close

 

Food cravings:  candy. candy. candy. and chocolate. and ice cream....nothing good.  

 

Anything making you queasy or sick: nope

Labor Signs: Nope. 

Symptoms: HUNGER!

Other: I ordered the baby bedding this week and hope to order some furniture soon! Getting excited about the nursery coming together.  i swear I'm going to do a post on our progress soon...as well as the basement progress.  and the weekly picture...

since i have been a slacker and not posting pictures the last few weeks...here is an update.

Total weight gain: 6 lbs of of this morning, for some reason the nurse at the doctors office told me 3.5...i'm measuring 6

Maternity clothes? YES...probably 3 out of 5 work days...and all loungepants at home

Stretch marks? not yet, but I'm stretching

Sleep: body pillow is GOOD! sleeping much better

 

Best moment this week:  seeing our little one on the ultrasound.  she has had a very quiet week without much movement so i was relieved to hear that heart beating away...she still didn't move while we watched, but she yawned....she must be lazy like her daddy

Wedding rings on or off? On! 

Happy or Moody most of the time: pretty moody this week, the stress of the remodel is getting to me.
